About Brazil



Located in South America and bordering the Atlantic Ocean, Brazil gained independence in 1822 and has been on the rise socially and economically until about 2013 when the country plunged into recession - including high inflation and unemployment. Things flipped around in 2017 following the impeachment of the president Ms. Dilma Rousseff due to political scandal. Her vice president fulfilled the remainder of her term and will complete his second term in January of 2019 as president Mr. Michel Temer.
